At NUDF we sing a song of Faith, Compassion and Joy.
Faith in what has changed and what can change, compassion for people lacking the basic necessities, and we celebrate the happiness the people of Uganda possess and their joy in the hope of a better, healthier future.
The Northern Uganda Development Foundation (NUDF) is based in Prince George, BC Canada and Kamdini Parish in Uganda. It is comprised of a board of directors and general members. The purpose of NUDF is to improve the standard of living of the people in Northern Uganda by promoting locally sustainable - Clean and safe drinking water- Farming practices- Health education - Sustainable small business enterprise and linking communities in Canada with communities in Northern Uganda.
In the summer of 2008 a delegation from NUDF (individuals traveled at their own expense) went to Uganda to check on the wells that were installed, to test the water and to hear from the people in the villages whether or not these wells were making a difference. The delegation included Dr Chris Opio, Tony Donovan, Vince Ramcharran and Dave Fuller. This group also delivered goats to cooperative groups to provide a livelihood for the communities, and vitamins donated by Canadian health food companies and Ave Maria Health Food store in Prince George to improve the health of villagers.
